Early Entry Diamond Blades
After concrete is poured, it hydrates and sets. During this process, it shrinks and develops internal stresses that can create random cracks on the surface. To prevent cracks from occurring, controlled, shallow cuts can be made with early entry saws, reducing the tension in the material.
These blades are used for cutting uncured concrete with Tyrolit Early Entry or Husqvarna Soff Cut saws.
The Tyrolit blades have a 1"/25.4mm centre to suit the Tyrolit saws, or you can knock out the insert to reveal the triangular centre to suit Husqvarna soff cut saws.
The Syntec blades are triangular shape only to suit Husqvarna Soff cuts only.
- Gold blade - hard bond for medium-soft aggregate
- Red blade - medium bond for medium aggregate
- Purple blade - soft bond for hard aggregate
These purple blades are the most popular, and are ideal on hard or medium aggregate.
The gold blade is for same-day cutting, the red blade is for next day cutting and the magenta/purple blade is for cutting after 2-3 days.

We also have Tyrolit stainless steel skid plates in stock. The skid plate easily attaches to the two spring-loaded pistons at the bottom of the blade block. This allow the skid plate to maintain the ideal pressure on the concrete slab, ensuring the highest quality cut, without ravelling. They do not fit Husqvarna machines.

Silica dust - when workers cut, saw, crush, drill, polish or grind products that contain silica, particles are created, which are one-hundredth of the size of a grain of sand. These can get stuck deep in the lungs.
Ensure precautions to limit exposure to dust are in place.
See the WA government's info on silica dust here.
